08 · Watchtower
Watchtower is the inbox. Sonic owns the chase.
Only sent unpaid invoices age here. Dunning is the sequence you configure once. Emails show what landed. A promise to pay holds the cadence. Payment is the off switch.
The inbox
Only sent unpaid invoices count as overdue.
Drafts and unsent finals are not in the ageing. Freight with no payment terms is due on the invoice date, so it still gets a suggestion. In a shipment workspace the bill-to is the shipper — there is no schedules tab.

INV-1042 is 12 days past due. Cadence is on sent unpaid only — this is the next step.
Dunning
Configure the sequence once. It escalates on its own.
One configuration is the organisation default. A strategic account can get a gentler one. Time the stages against your terms — a reminder on day 3 of Net 30 looks like you cannot read your own invoice. Contacts have to be real before automatic mail goes on.
Friendly reminder
Most teams send this in the first 30 days. Include the payment link — a lot of late payment is friction, not refusal.
Firmer, often a person
31 to 60 days. The suggested next sentence is AI-assisted. You still send it.
Final notice
61 to 90 days. A legal notice belongs here, not on day seven.
Payment is the off switch
Paid in full exits. A promise to pay holds the cadence. Partial payment skips a stage.

The account
Everything you need before you pick up the phone.
What’s outstanding, how late, what already went out, and what was promised. In a shipment workspace this is the shipper — pick the account, then Watchtower and risk stay on that page.

Send reminder?
Nimbus Cloud · INV-1042 is 12 days past due. This sends the D+7 cadence email now.
The person
Suggest the next sentence. You still send it.
Automatic sequences are optional. Match deposits promptly so a cadence does not chase last week’s wire.
Emails
Every reminder, automatic or manual, and whether it landed. Bounced means the sequence is running while nobody is receiving it.
Promise to pay
Log the date they committed to. Dunning can hold until that date passes, so they are not chased the morning after you agreed terms.
Pause
Holds the sequence while something is being sorted out. It stays paused until someone resumes it.
Send now
A suggested draft is operator-approved. You can also record a payment that came in directly.
