Drafts and unsent finals are not in the ageing. Freight with no payment terms is due on the invoice date, so it still gets a suggestion. In a shipment workspace the bill-to is the shipper — there is no schedules tab.

Configure the sequence once. It escalates on its own.
One configuration is the organisation default. A strategic account can get a gentler one. Time the stages against your terms — a reminder on day 3 of Net 30 looks like you cannot read your own invoice. Contacts have to be real before automatic mail goes on.
Friendly reminder
Most teams send this in the first 30 days. Include the payment link — a lot of late payment is friction, not refusal.
Firmer, often a person
31 to 60 days. The suggested next sentence is AI-assisted. You still send it.
Final notice
61 to 90 days. A legal notice belongs here, not on day seven.
