The schedule is the product.
A contract says what was agreed. A schedule is the plan that bills it — products, dates, cadence — and it produces invoices on its own.
The list
Active generates. Paused stops. Gated waits on payment.
One active schedule per contract is the normal case. The list shows the next invoice and whether a plan is still producing. Daily billing runs on a calendar — a forgotten browser tab is not what generates the month.

When the subscription starts
Leave the switch off and the dates you entered are the dates. Switch it on and pick the rule the contract actually wrote.
01
Immediate
The dates you entered. No gate.
02
On payment date
Subscription dates stay empty until the gate products are paid. Phase duration is what rebuilds them.
03
Committed date
Dates are real now. Paid late, the whole term slides — each phase keeps its length.
04
Manual after payment
Cash in first. Then you pick the go-live.

The signed term
The commercial contract never moves with a gate.
Implementation and setup still invoice on their own dates. Only the subscription waits. When payment lands, phase durations become real dates — the legal term stays where it was signed.

EditActivateWhat a schedule holds
Phases
Named windows with duration. Status is computed from those dates — not stored as a second truth. On a gate, duration is the blueprint until dates exist.
Products
Fixed, seats, usage, commitments, one-time fees. Mixed models share an invoice when the deal says so.
Changes
Edit for what will bill next. Upgrade or downgrade when a sent invoice needs only the difference.
