Billing schedule

Also called Subscription schedule

TL;DRThe live plan that turns a contract's terms into invoices on cadence — the core object in Sonic.

A contract says what was agreed. A billing schedule is the plan that bills it: the products, their prices and pricing model, the phases and dates, the billing day, the cadence, and whether each line bills in advance or in arrears.

In Sonic the schedule is the source of truth for everything downstream. Invoices are generated from it, revenue recognition reads it, and collections only ever chases what it produced. Editing the schedule is how a mid-term change becomes real.

A schedule is drafted from the parsed contract, reviewed by a person, and activated. Until activation nothing bills.
