Point-in-time recognition
TL;DRRecognising the whole amount on the date the obligation is met.
A setup fee is earned when setup completes; a haul is earned on the shipment date. Point-in-time posts the full amount on that date rather than spreading it.
For shipments the recognised leg always lands on the haul date, whether the invoice came before or after it. Billing came first is not a reason to recognise on the invoice date.
