TL;DRBilling per haul at a contracted rate, rather than per month at a subscription price.
A haul, a rate, a bill. Shipment billing rates each movement against the carrier contract's rate card — base, fuel, accessorials — and groups the rated shipments into invoices by window and shipper.
It is a different engine from subscription billing, with different catalogs (shippers and carriers) and different documents, on the same platform. An organisation runs in one mode or the other.
