Contract-to-cash

Also called C2C · Order-to-cash

TL;DRThe chain from a signed agreement to a matched deposit and a posted journal entry.

Contract-to-cash is everything that happens after a deal is signed: the terms are read, a billing schedule is set up, invoices go out on cadence, late ones are chased, deposits are matched back to invoices, and revenue is posted to the books.

Most finance teams run that chain across a CRM, a spreadsheet, an invoicing tool, an inbox, a bank portal, and the ledger. Each hand-off is where a term gets lost, a date slips, or a number gets re-typed.

Sonic runs the chain on one data model: the contract produces the schedule, the schedule produces the invoices, the invoices feed collections, cash matching, and the journal. Nothing is re-interpreted in the next tool.
